Nicholas Lemann, Director
Nick is Dean Emeritus of Columbia Journalism School and currently a professor at the school. In addition, he is a staff writer for The New Yorker and author of several highly acclaimed books, including Transaction Man: The Rise of the Deal and the Decline of the American Dream; Redemption: The Last Battle of the Civil War; The Big Test: The Secret History of the American Meritocracy; and The Promised Land: The Great Black Migration and How It Changed America.
Camille McDuffie, Publisher
Camille was President of Goldberg McDuffie Communications, the literary public relations firm, for many years and worked with a range of high-profile authors. In addition, she represented The Library of America, The National Book Awards, and The Whiting Writers’ Awards as well as several magazine launches. Most recently, she served as a consultant and strategist for their clients.
Jimmy So, Editor
Jimmy So is the editor of Columbia Global Reports and an adjunct at Columbia Journalism School. He was an editor at Newsweek and The Daily Beast, where he won a National Magazine Award as part of the books team. His work has also appeared in The New Yorker online, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and CBS News. He was a news anchor and senior editor at TVB and ATV in Hong Kong, and a graduate of Columbia Journalism School.
Allison Finkel, Marketing
Prior to joining Columbia Global Reports, Allison was a marketer for seven years at Basic Books, where she worked on a wide range of nonfiction titles and handled many marketing campaigns for the feminist publishing house Seal Press. Allie started her publishing career at Oxford University Press. She grew up in Los Angeles and is a graduate of Boston University.
Courtney Knights, Director of Development
Courtney has worked in fundraising and special events at leading arts organizations, including Public Art Fund, Artadia, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. She serves on the board of Noelle’s Light. Courtney is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied journalism and art history, as well as Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
